January 28th, The Shadow Place… (Monochrome)

“Now it is the time of night
That the graves, all gaping wide,
Every one lets forth his sprite
In the church-way paths to glide.” ~ William Shakespeare

Not far from our home in fact less than a mile exists this building which has been in its many years a mortuary, a mink farm, and most recently a museum. It is said at night you can feel an eerie presence, and see shadows moving about. Real or imagined I cannot say but I don’t necessarily go hanging out there after dark…

January 24th, Colt Single Action Army… (Monochrome)

“Firearms, like people, have ancestors, and the frontier guns were no exception. Just as did most of the men and women who carried them, these weapons had their early roots in Europe. We can trace their lineage back to the sieges of the walled cities of the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries, to a primitive weapon called the hand cannon.” ~ Charles Edward Chapel
