You know when I was a kid you had red and black twizzlers, now you can get a variety of colors and flavors, all bright and shiny, with not a bit of real fruit color OR flavor, or your money back. 😛

Now I don’t know about you, but I didn’t know this was a “drug”.  Does this mean a child taking this to school could get in trouble, if the teacher was just that anal???  Admit it, its a good question.  :P

You should know what book this is, at least I hope you do.  :P

Behold a closeup of the mighty red plastic sword.  A master of cheap engineering, and a master at possibly lighting up, and hopefully making noise. Got to love cheap plastic playthings 😀

Went hiking into the mountains today,  took tons of pictures, and got tons of mosquito bites. Mmmmm good for scratching.

Oh NO its an Alien Bee, someone get a flyswatter. 😛  Seriously though what we are looking at is one of my Alien Bee Strobe units, I have to say that I am a big fan of these lights, they are small, well built little gems, and they come in a great assortment of colors LoL.  If you are in need of a good studio flash that won’t break the bank, give them a try  www.alienbees.com

Is it an alien landscape?  An evil bit of stuff?  Nope its just an ordinary slice of “humble pie”  And it tasted…. Delicious!

Ah the spikes, its soo punk aint it?  I thought this looked very well with a nice black and white conversion.

This is a photograph of my Canon 580EX flash, it “used” to be Canon’s flagship flash, of course so did my 550EX.  Now the Flagship flash is the 580EX II,  I really wish our friends at Canon would offer discounts to us old farts with our older “flagships”.  Ah well at least I can have yet another wireless slave flash, “IF” I upgrade again.

Finding a controller is fairly simple, finding the console to use it on now that is tough!!!

For today we have a macro of my daughters flute.  Pretty in form and music.

While wandering around our neighborhood I noticed that this cross had a bunch of jesus fish incorporated into its design, I thought it was interesting.

Today we went to our favorite spot, the zoo.  Where for once I was able to take a sneak shot of my oldest boy.  It was a grab shot, but I think its a rather nice grab shot.

And as you can see today was a two-fer.  Now I would like to say that I got right up in this bad boys face and got a great shot.  But that would be lying 😛  This was shot with my 70-200 with the 2X teleconverter on that.  It was shot through the glass which presented some color rendition nightmares, but hey I’m not above a little magic with Photoshop.  Enjoy

And so we have made it to the end of yet another month.  For tonight I have taken a nice closeup of a glass cactus (don’t ask).  I then for variety added a graduated purple filter to give it just a shot of color.  Enjoy
