Dusk outside our back porch. I like the abstract quality and the colors.

Been having heartburn lately so these little guys just seemed like the ticket. 😛

This is my baby the Mighty Canon 30D, and attached to it is the even far more impressive Canon 70-200 2.8 IS “L” lens, which will probably be the subject of yet another photograph at some point. 😛

I know you are probably wondering if this is his camera how could he shoot it?  Well I could say I’m magic, but I will tell my secret, the shot was taken with my backup body the ever trusty 20D. :P. now if I could just convince the wife to get me a 5D, I would be in heaven.

Well today was an adventure, your fearless photographer and his sidekick (wife) went at 3am to explore the city, and to get some fabulous night shots.  Well after braving the elements two homeless people, and at least one possible stalker, I came away with many many good shots.  This one is not bad, however this is one of the times where having a fixed focal length lens can be a hinderence not a boon,  although I like this shot.  I will have to try to do this again near dusk so the sky isn’t so black.
Stay tuned I might just post some others from the evening that were done with some of my other lenses.

Was playing around with a single light setup, this time through an umbrella,  the shot was converted to black and white, then some extra magic was added for spice. 😛  Mmmmm spice.

Alas poor Sonic, once he was the proud mascot of everything Sega, now he is just a shell of a Hedgehog, pimping himself out to whatever system will make the once proud Sega the allmighty dollar.  RIP Sonic.

This is a nice macro shot of my leather biker’s jacket.  The interesting thing to note is just how shallow depth of field can be.  If you look there is a very small sliver of sharp focus, this is the result of using the 2.8 lens “wide open”  with such a small window of sharpness, imagine how much less room you would have if you were using a 1.8 or even a 1.4 lens.

This is some of my wifes perfume, its green and it smells good.  I’m not too sure it smells like the celebrity who is on the bottle, since I have never had the chance to give her a sniff, but what the heck.

All praise the Almighty!  Bringer of dreams, and greed, and violence and even redemption.  Oh how we love to hate you Mr. President….  That being said I think I need more. 😛

Well we have made it though another month.  And I still have at least five ideas I working on, after that well we just have to fake it.
